The camera can be mounted anywhere that is ferrous metal (magnetic). I needed to install this on an aluminum trailer so I made a piece of galvanized plate and used double sided tape to hold the plate to the aluminum. Took maybe 15 minutes and worked like a charm. My trailer is 24’ ball to tail. Signal is not an issue. Cons: Night mode is a bit grainy and black and white. Tends to get washed out by headlights behind you, so a little more difficult to use at night. The monitor is also kind of blinding at night even with the brightness turned down. The 150 degree wide angle may be good for backing into a parking spot, but is too wide for a rear view. It would be nice to have an option for a reduced wide angle so you can see farther behind you. Also, the monitor is not compatible with polarized sunglasses.
